Built for the fast-paced, technician-driven world of materials testing.
A powerful cloud-based automated workflow platform that increases productivity and profits for civil engineering companies — with on-the-go field data collection, lab management, and industry-standard reporting.
What we do
Field data, lab results, and reports — connected in real time.
eFieldData empowers geotechnical engineers, project managers, inspectors, field technicians, lab technicians, and admin staff to collaborate on project specifications and test results in real time. A big-picture dashboard keeps you tracking who is doing what job, when, and where.
It’s an end-to-end solution from scheduling to time sheets and invoicing — with a native mobile app for field technicians on both iOS and Android.
Why we're different
Most systems need modules stitched together. We don't.
One centralized database
No silos. Field, lab, reports, and billing all live on a single source of truth.
True end-to-end workflow
Not stitched-together tools — one connected system from scheduling to invoicing.
Mobile-first design
Built for real field use on iOS and Android, not adapted from a desktop afterthought.
Real-time synchronization
Field teams submit results immediately; lab and office see them the same instant.
Built for CMT & geotechnical firms
Purpose-built for this industry — not a generic platform retrofitted for testing labs.

Business Challenge
Prior to eFieldData, CVT relied on a legacy system built around handwritten field reports and manual re-entry by administrative staff. A later attempt to adopt a complex, DOT-centric platform revealed it was designed for infrastructure workflows, not the fast-paced, technician-driven nature of materials testing — it lacked a mobile app, relied on a rigid tree-style interface, and required extensive training for basic tasks.
Solution
CVT implemented eFieldData across multiple branches in spring 2024. The mobile-first platform let technicians capture field data, photos, and attachments directly from job sites — eliminating paper forms and duplicate entry. Project managers gained real-time visibility into report status, and spec documents were uploaded directly to projects for instant field access.
